Eloy Garcia

Biography

Eloy Garcia received the Ph.D. degree from the Electrical Engineering Department, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, in 2012. He holds a B.S. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Zacatecas, Mexico. He also holds M.S. degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, IL, and the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, both in Electrical Engineering. From 2012 to 2016, he was a Research Scientist with Infoscitex Corporation, Dayton, OH. Dr. Garcia is currently a Research Engineer with the Control Science Center of Excellence, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Dayton.

Dr. Garcia's research interests include pursuit-evasion and reach-avoid games, event-triggered control, and cooperative control and coordination of multi-agent systems. He is the recipient of the 2020 IEEE Dayton Section Award on Aerospace and Electronics Systems. He is author/editor of the books Model-based Control of Networked Systems and Cooperative Control of Multi-agent Systems: Theory and Applications. He is also chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Manufacturing Automation and Robotic Control.
