General Conference Information

The IEEE Control Systems Society is the principal sponsor of two international conferences every year:

  • the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) which started in 1962 (see the CDC history file) and is the society flagship event.
  • the IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications (CCTA) that replaces the IEEE Multi-conference on Systems and Control (MSC), starting from the first edition in 2017 (see http://ccta2017.ieeecss.org/ ).

The MSC, which started in 2007, was bringing together three international conferences - the IEEE International Conference on Control Applications (CCA), the IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control (ISIC), and, in the even year, the IEEE CSS International Symposium on Computer Aided Control System Design (CACSD) - for greater impact and scientific exchange.

IEEE CSS is a sponsoring member society of the American Automatic Control Council (AACC), the US member organization in the International Federation of Automatic Control; the AACC finances and administers the American Control Conference (ACC). Details regarding the ACC can be found here.
