Milwaukee sits on the western shore of Lake Michigan, and is home to many museums, theaters, and restaurants. The two-mile RiverWalk features shops, cafes, and brewpubs. The conference venue is surrounded by fine dining, entertainment, and a vibrant night life. Downtown Milkwaukee is pedestrian-friendly, and the nearby lakefront is popular for walking, biking, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, and jetskiing. Entertainment options for conference-goers will include the 2018 Summerfest music festival, which annually offers 800 musical performances to almost 900,000 music-lovers. The ACC is the annual conference of the American Automatic Control Council (AACC, the U.S. national member organization of the International Federation for Automatic Control (IFAC)).
