Biography

Lukasz Stettner MA 1978 University of Lublin, PhD 1981 Institute of Mathematics Polish Acad. Sci. (IMPAN), habilitation 1989 IMPAN, professor's title 2001, works at the IMPAN, 2000-2018 scientific director of IMPAN, 2018-2022 director of IMPAN; chairman of the Mathematical Center for Science and Technology at IMPAN since 2003; editor of Applicationes Mathematicae (journal originated by H. Steinhaus in 1953); supervised 15 PhD students; organized many international and national conferences; author of 110 research papers and 2 monographs; works in stochastic control, stochastic processes and mathematics of finance; currently chair of the IFIP Technical Committee 7 on System Modelling and Optimization, first chair of the CSS Chapter in Poland, the organizer of the Annual Applications of Mathematics Conference with the Control Day with contributions from mathematicians and engineers.
He has the established record of making contributions to many invited sessions on Stochastic Systems and Control at past CDCs.
