Marco Nicotra Email Website Biography Marco M. Nicotra received his dual M.S. degree in 2012: mechanical engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and electromechanical engineering from Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). In 2016 he received his Ph.D. degree in control engineering under the joint supervision of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the University of Bologna (Italy). He was a postdoctoral researcher in University of Michigan (USA) for two years before joining the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests focus on constrained control theory (model predictive control, reference governors, and control barrier functions) and applications (including battery management systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, robotic manipulators, spacecraft, and quantum systems).
