Yasumasa Fujisaki

Biography

Yasumasa Fujisaki received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from Kobe University, Kobe, Japan, in 1986, 1988, and 1994, respectively.  From 1988 to 1991, he was a Research Member of the Electronics Research Laboratory, Kobe Steel, Ltd., Kobe, Japan.  From 1991 to 2010, he was with Kobe University and served as a Research Associate and an Associate Professor.  Since 2010, he has been a Professor of the Department of Information and Physical Sciences, Osaka University, Suita, Japan.  He held a visiting academic appointment at IEIIT-CNR, Politecnico di Torino, Italy, from 2000 to 2001.  He served as an Associate Editor of Automatica from 2001 to 2012, and Editor of SICE Journal of Control, Measurement, and System Integration from 2011 to 2017, and a Chair of IEEE Control Systems Society Kansai Chapter from 2016 to 2017.  His research interests include probabilistic methods for analysis and design of control systems, two-degree-of-freedom servosystems, and decentralized control of large-scale systems.
