Biography

Sergey Dashkovskiy received the M.Sc. degree (with distinction) in applied mathematics from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, in 1996, the Ph.D. degree in mathematics in 2002 from the University of Jena, Jena, Germany, and the venia legendi degree in mathematics from the University of Bremen, Bremen, Germany, in 2009.

In 2007 he was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Arizona State University, Tempe, and in 2010 he was Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Bayreuth, Bayreuth, Germany. Since 2008 he is the head of the research group “Mathematical Modeling of Complex Systems.” From 2011 to 2015 he was a Professor (Tenure) of Mathematics with University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. Since 2016 he is Professor for Dynamical Systems and Control Theory with the Institute of Mathematics, University of Würzburg. His research interests are in the field of nonlinear systems theory and stability theory as well as in mathematical modeling of large scale systems.

Dr. Dashkovskiy received the JSPS Research Fellowship from the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Iizuka, Japan, in 2008.
