Mohsen Soltani

Biography

Mohsen Soltani (Senior Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, in 2008. He was a Visiting Researcher with the Eindhoven University of Technology, in 2007. He fulfilled a Postdoctoral and an Assistant Professor program with Aalborg University, from 2008 to 2012. In 2010, he was a Visiting Scholar with Stanford University. Since 2012, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University. In 2015, he completed a research leadership training program with Harvard Business School. His research interests include modeling, control, optimization, estimation, fault detection, and their applications to electromechanical and energy conversion systems, power electronics, wind turbines, and wind farms.
