Laura Menini Email Biography Laura Menini obtained her Laurea degree in Mechanical Engineering in july 1993, and her PhD degee in Computer Science and Control Engineering in july 1997, both at the University of Roma Tor Vergata, where she is currently Full Professor, having held previously a Researcher position (1997-2001) and an Associate Professor position (2001-2018). She has been visiting scholar at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, NM, USA and at Imperial College, London, UK. Her research has focused on several aspects of control and systems theory, starting with control and robust control of linear systems (periodic, sampled data), multiobjective control, analysis and control of nonlinear and Hamiltonian systems, geometric control, control of mechanical systems subject to impacts and of classes of hybrid systems, observer design, applications of algebraic geometry to control design. She has been Associate Editor of the IEEE CSS Conference Editorial Board (2000-2017), of the Euca Editorial Board (2014-2020) and for the IFAC World Congress (2011 and 2014), and Area Editor for the IFAC World Congress (2017 and 2020).
