Jan Komenda Email Biography Jan Komenda was born on August 18, 1971, Dačice, Czech Republic. He received a M.Sc. (Mathematics) - Faculty of Sciences, Masaryk University, Brno (1994), a Ph.D. (Control theory ad computer science) - Université de Franche-Comté, Besançon, France (1999), and a Ph.D. (Mathematics) Faculty of Sciences, Masaryk University, Brno (2000). He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences (since September 2003). In the past, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Mathematical Institute of Czech Academy of Sciences, branch in Brno, Czech Republic (May 1999- April 2001), CWI Amsterdam, The Netherlands (May 2001-August 2003),.
