Geir Dullerud Email Biography Geir E. Dullerud (F'08) received the B.A.Sc. degree in engineering science and the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering both from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1988 and 1990, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., in 1994. Since 1998, he has been a Faculty Member with the Mechanical Science and Engineering Department, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Urbana, IL, USA, where he is currently a Professor. He is the Director of the Decision and Control Laboratory of the Coordinated Science Laboratory. He has held visiting positions in electrical engineering at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2013, and in aeronautics and astronautics, Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, during 2005.2006. From 1996 to 1998, he was an Assistant Professor of applied mathematics at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. He was a Research Fellow and Lecturer in the Control and Dynamical Systems Department, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, in 1994 and 1995. He has published two books: A Course in Robust Control Theory (Springer, 2000) and Control of Uncertain Sampled-Data Systems (Birkhauser, 1996). His current research interests include games and networked control, robotic vehicles, hybrid dynamical systems, and cyber-physical systems security. Dr. Dullerud is currently Associate Editor of the SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization and served in a similar role for Automatica. He received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 1999, and the Xerox Faculty Research Award at UIUC in 2005. He became an ASME Fellow in 2011.
