Debasattam Pal

Biography

Debasattam Pal received his B.E. degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 20025. He then received his M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), India, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. After spending two years in the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) as an Assistant Professor, he joined IIT Bombay in 2014, where he currently holds the position of Professor. Debasattam has held visiting positions at RWTH-Aachen University, University of Porto, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi).

His areas of research are algebraic analysis of dynamical systems, optimal control, switched systems. He is currently an Associate Editor with the Springer journal of /Mathematics of Control, Signals and Systems (MCSS)/ and IEEE /Control Systems Letters (LCSS)/.
