Zhiwei Gao

Biography

Dr. Gao joined Northumbria University in 2011, and was the MPEE PGR Programme Leader and is the Head of Electrical Engineering Subject.

Dr. Gao is currently an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. As a leading Guest Editor, he organised the special sessions ``Data-driven approaches for complex industrial systems’’, ``Real-time fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control’’, ``Real-time monitoring, prognosis and resilient control for wind energy systems’’, and ``Advances in modelling, monitoring, and control for complex industrial systems’’ respectively in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (2013), IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (2015), Renewable Energy (2018) and Complexity (2019).

Dr. Gao is the senior member of IEEE, and HEA fellow.
