Daniel Quevedo

Biography

Daniel Quevedo received Ingeniero Civil Electrónico and M.Sc. degrees from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Valparaíso, Chile, in 2000, and in 2005 the Ph.D. degree from the University of Newcastle in Australia.  Upon being awarded the PhD degree, he held several research positions at Newcastle, including a five-year fellowship from the Australian Research Council. The outlook of being in a position where he can have a more significant impact on University endeavours and society motivated him, in 2015, towards taking up an offer to establish and lead the Chair in Automatic Control at Paderborn University Germany. Since 2020 he has been Professor in Cyberphysical Systems at the School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia.
